2. What data do we collect and why?

Our website is primarily of an informative nature and does not contain an online shop or a newsletter subscription form. We collect your data in the following situations:

  • Direct contact (E-mail or telephone): When you voluntarily send us an enquiry via e-mail or call us, we collect the data you choose to provide (e.g. your first name, surname, e-mail address, telephone number, and the content of your message). We use this data exclusively to respond to your enquiry and to realise potential business cooperation. The legal basis for this processing is the execution of pre-contractual measures or our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
  • Visit statistics and analytics (Cookies): In order to improve the user experience and understand which content our visitors read the most, we use the Google Analytics tool. This tool automatically collects technical and statistical data (e.g. browser type, operating system, time spent on the page, visited subpages). All data is collected in an anonymised form (your IP address is shortened prior to processing), so we cannot personally identify you based on this information.

3. What are Cookies and how do we use them?

Cookies are small text files that a website saves onto your computer or mobile device during your visit. On our website, we use:

  • Necessary cookies: These are essential for the technical operation and basic functionalities of the website (e.g. remembering your privacy settings). Your consent is not required for these cookies.
  • Statistical cookies (Google Analytics): These help us track website traffic. These cookies will only be activated if you give us your explicit consent by clicking the “Accept” button on our pop-up window (Cookie banner).

You can change your cookie settings or delete them completely at any time through your web browser settings.

4. Data sharing with third parties

We never sell, rent, or share your personal data with unauthorised third parties for marketing purposes. Data may only be transferred to trusted service providers who enable our smooth operations (so-called data processors):

  • IT companies providing hosting services and technical maintenance for our website and e-mail servers.
  • Google LLC, which provides the Google Analytics service. The data transferred to Google is anonymised and serves exclusively to generate statistical reports on website traffic.

5. Data retention period

We keep your data from e-mail correspondence only as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected (e.g. until the completion of communication related to your enquiry or for the duration of a contractual relationship). Data collected by Google Analytics is retained in accordance with their standard data retention periods (usually 14 months), after which it is automatically deleted.

6. Data security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your data from loss, misuse, or unauthorised access. Our website uses a secure connection (HTTPS / SSL encryption), ensuring that all communication between your browser and our server is encrypted and secure.

7. Your rights under the GDPR

At any time, you have the right to:

  • Access your data and information on how we process it
  • Rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Erasure of data (“the right to be forgotten”) if there is no longer a legal basis for its retention
  • Restriction of processing or to object to data processing
  • Withdraw consent for the use of statistical cookies at any time via the Cookie banner.

To exercise any of these rights, please feel free to contact us via e-mail at: skroz@skroz.org. Furthermore, if you believe your rights have been violated, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP).

8. Changes to this Policy

We reserve the right to amend this Privacy Policy at any time (e.g. if we change the website’s functionalities or if legal regulations change). All changes will be published on this page in a timely manner.
